Many years ago, I was listening to your radio station and I was stradding with the relationship I had with my brother.

I wished it was closer and more tender than it was, but he always kept me at kind of an arms length.

And I heard you tell a caller about we need to accept what the people in our lives are willing to give us and it's not right for us to force them to give what they are unable or unwilling to give.

So I took that advice and I took his relationship for what it was and we would text and if I happen to see him, we'd give each other a quick hug and he'd say hi.

I love you and you be on his way.

Fast forward to when he was diagnosed with systemic scleroderma.

He suffered with it for a while and he passed away a few months ago and I wanted to thank you for the gift you gave me.

I was able to have a relationship that I valued and I knew he loved me and that it may have not been in the way I wanted him to express it, but I had no doubt he loved me.

And that is no more real. Many people stood up and said he served me by giving his time in one way or another and I learned what an amazing man he was.

And I just wanted to say thank you for letting me value that relationship I had.
