but a new study released last week suggests that the idiot box may be even more insidious than we originally thought.

Researchers at the University of Illinois examined the foods being advertised on kids programming,

and, surprise, it turns out most products were overloaded with crap.

The researchers considered more than 50,000 commercials seen by kids ages 2 to 11,

and found that 98% of the food advertised

was high in fat, sugar, or sodium. Reached for comment, a fast food industry spokesman

boasted that at least there's no lead in Pizza Hut's pepperoni dipping sticks. Quote,

and last week was no exception. Apple trumpeted that it had sold its millionth iPhone, just 74 days

after the device was released. The Wall Street Journal even reported last week that competition from Apple's iTunes has Yahoo!
