But there's a lot to like about Ali Gordon's profile. I mean, if you look at his, let's just show you his stats. During his time in college in 2023, he was looked at as one of the best running backs that we could see. Maybe a first, definitely a second round pick coming out after 2023, over 1,700 rushing yards, 22 touchdowns. When you factor in his receiving yards of 330 in that season in college, this dude had over 2,000 total yards. He was thought as like one of the best running backs in college football, heading into the 2024 season. He was being looked at as a potential first round pick, but then 2024 went wrong. He dealt with some injuries and he didn't produce. As you can see right here on the player profiler's college stats, he ends up only having about half the yards. 854 still finds the end zone a bunch, but he just wasn't as productive. He had less receptions in this season 30 compared to 39, and his draft stock completely tinked. He went from being maybe a first, definitely a second or a third round pick to falling way

in the draft to the Miami Dolphins as a later round pick, I believe, in round six. But as I mentioned, there was sort of like these phantom injuries that he was dealing with in 2024, which were not that widely reported. So that adds some context. And just a reminder, the last time that he was healthy in a football season, he led college football with over 1,700 yards. He was named the best running back in college football winning the Dork Walker Award

as well during that season, and the Miami Dolphins ended up taking him in round six. Now, of course, Devine H.N. is there. Jalen Wright is also there as well. So this starts to become a backfield where things seem messy when he's drafted back in April, but now it's opening up a bit.

So this is a spot where now Ollie Gordon, if he's indeed healthy and oh yeah, he looked good in the preseason. We'll get into that in a second. Things are starting to look nice for him. And you can see his preseason stats right here. He had 126 yards. he was averaging about five yards per carries. Eight of his runs went for first downs. NFL coaches are going to love that.
