Good morning, indeed. We're picking up with our courage for Life Study Bible,

and Tori's just can take from here.

Yes, y'all. Today's devotional is on Priscilla, a willing and gracious leader.

It says this, the Apostle Paul met Priscilla and her husband, Aqu while in Corinth on his second missionary journey.

In addition to both being leaders in the Corinthian Church, the couple were also

tent makers and Paul worked alongside them in the craft.

Paul also stayed in their home in Corinth for 18 months, not only as a co-worker, but also as a close friend.

When Paul met this courageous couple,

they were firmly established in the Christian faith

and were well versed in Old Testament scriptures.

The fact that Priscilla and Aquila had found the promised

Messiah in Jesus gave them a deep spiritual connection with Paul. When Paul

continued his missionary journey to Ephesus, Priscilla and Aquila went with him.

When he continued on to Caesarea and Antioch, they stayed in Ephesus to carry on the growing church's vital work.

While Paul was away, a Jew named Apollo's came to Eufusus.

Apollo's had considerable knowledge of the scriptures and spoke with great enthusiasm about the baptism of John.

But Priscilla and Aquila realized that he knew only part of the important story about Jesus and they felt deeply

convicted to share all they had learned from Paul. Priscilla and Aquila invited

Apollus to their home and privately explained the full gospel message.
