Today we learn spiritual truths from the life of Samson.

Let's join Scott Pauli now as we journey through the Word of God.

I want to talk to you today about the power of personal choices. You see, there's some

choices in life you can't make. You didn't get to choose where you were born or who your parents

were or your physical attributes. Some choices are out of your control. And then there are other

choices you have to make.

No one can make them for you, no matter how much they want to, no matter how much they love you,

and no matter how much they desire the best for you, you've got to want it for yourself.

That's one of the great lessons in the life of Samson.

You see, because we're making the transition now from

Judges Chapter 13 into Judges Chapter 14. When you read Judges 13, the first chapter of Samson's

life, the early days, I must tell you, it's all good. It's all good. God gives him life. He gives

him purpose. He gives him teachers. he gives him blessing, the Spirit of God

begins to move on him. As a matter of fact, the last verse of Judges 13 says, and the Spirit

of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zora and Eshtal. So we see a young

man who's grown in the Lord and God's beginning to do some great things with his life.

And then you come to the next verse.

Read through the chapter division.

Come into Judges chapter 14 and verse number one and you read and

Samson went down.

And Samson went down to Timnath and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
