But first, there's this one thing that our president talks about in so many contexts, which is that other countries are taking advantage of us.

Like obviously he talked about this yesterday when he pulled out of the climate deal.

Like China gets to build coal plants. We don't get to so they're laughing at us.

But he talks about this that other countries are taking advantage of us the most, I think, in terms of straight economics.

Like what is our economic policy going to be? How are we going to stop getting other countries to take advantage of us?

And there's this one point that he hits all the time to say that, which is the trade deficit that the United States has with the rest of the world.

So Jacob, what's the US trade deficit right now?

The trade deficit is $47.6 billion with a B. Those are the numbers for April, which the federal government released just this morning.
