I was explaining that some adults can walk into a room, not yell, not scream, not be rude,

and earn the respect and the children of their listening, of their ears and of their responses

without having to be mean, rude, disrespectful.

And the people who earn the respect based on giving the respect are the people the kids respond to.

And I think some parents feel disrespected in behavior.

This is just where two best friends talk about life in general. And it's Friday. And you know what? It, no, it's not Friday. No, it is actually Friday, but we're filming a different video. Yeah. Yep. It's confusing. So I wanted, you know, I was like a lot of this, when we go and do interviews, a lot of the same questions come up over and over again. Like, how'd you start, blah, blah, blah. all the things and I thought you know it's so crazy because parenting has become less laborous

more um um what's the word like admin yeah it's become like we're principals now before we were teachers

and now we're principals if i could describe it in any way it's like there's nothing to say about

the kids but so much is happening but i think we have to get through it to look back in hindsight

because when i'm you know when i was it's everything you want, you want to know about the next phase because when you're living in it, it's like you know it. But you, you want to know what's next. And that's why like the baby story was so, um, poignant. Like I'd watch the baby story. Once I had a baby, I didn't go watch that. Nope. I I watched the wedding story on TLC and then when you got married yeah don't watch it so it's like

what's next and the next phase and whenever I'm with moms who have older kids I grill them and kind of like

what's next like what's next like yeah what am I not seeing like where are the where are the

the blinders on on that I can't see?

But the thing about the next phase is it's so unique to each individual.

Like toddlers going to their first day of school when they're in kindergarten,

you can kind of like talk about it because it's hard for you.

And sometimes it's hard for them.

But like the feelings are so up here.

But we have to keep our shit together to watch the next.

We have to watch the next phase because we can't have a lot of control in the next phase.
