And today we are looking at John chapter 8, verse 19, and Jesus has been debating with

the Pharisees, the leaders of his day in a religious sense about who he really was.

They did not believe he was the Messiah, and he is more and more claiming to be the Messiah.

And today we are picking up at a point in the conversation where Jesus has claimed to

have come from the Father and that he is going to return to the Father.

And here in John 8, verse number 19, they said to him, therefore, where is your Father?

Jesus answered, you know neither me nor my Father.

If you knew me, you would know my Father also.

Now this was a very, I don't know what you would call it exactly, a snarky sort of a thing

for Jesus to say to the religious leaders of his day.
