Let’s turn to Genesis:

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Genesis 3:1

Satan was placing doubt in Eve’s mind about God, but also – about her capacity to hear from Him.

What if fear and insecurity are keeping us from declaring what we’re hearing God say? Here are 3 questions to ask to discern if you’re hearing from God:

Does it line up with scripture?
Is it good for other people?
Does it bring God glory?

And, it can be wildly freeing when you realize that you actually cannot avoid getting it wrong.

Don’t suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word from the Master. On the other hand, don’t be gullible. Check out everything, and keep only what’s good. Throw out anything tainted with evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22-MSG

God wants to talk to you, through you. You can be humble without speaking doubt + disbelief. He is mighty in you. We’ll see you Thursday!

1:02.4	Hey friends, welcome to one of our Monday mini podcast episodes. This is just a short little
1:10.3	encouragement for you that I pray starts your week
1:13.7	off well. A few years ago, I noticed this phenomenon amongst the women that I know who walk
1:22.0	with God. I noticed that women would say, you know, I think God is telling me so and so. Or I feel like maybe
1:33.3	God has put this on my heart. Or I'm not sure, but I kind of think God might have been showing me
1:40.2	blank. And here's the thing. While this is a dicey conversation and it can be taken a million
1:46.7	different ways, I wanted to tell you that when I noticed this phenomenon, I had a deep desire
1:53.6	well up in me to tell the women I love, hey, you don't have to say, I think, when you're talking to me. I know there are a lot of
2:04.6	people who take God's word out of context. And I know there are a lot of people who put words
2:10.5	in God's mouth that don't line up with his character and his truth. And I know that there are
2:15.3	genuinely people who do awful and horrible things in the
2:18.8	name of God. And that absolutely makes me pause. But for the most part, what I find myself wanting to
2:27.3	tell my friends is, if God is telling you something, I believe you. And more than that, I believe him in you. And I trust him
2:38.7	in you. And I trust you to be human and I trust you to get it wrong sometimes. But I believe God in you.
