Hello, my friends, and welcome back to the Morning Mind Set.

It's time for you and me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God.

Today's truth that we are reading is in Acts chapter 27, we're beginning in verse 27

through verse 44, and this is an account of the Apostle Paul as he is journeying to Rome

in Roman custody to stand trial before Caesar, and he has found himself in quite a situation

0:33.1

where there is a storm raging, the ship that he is in is being tossed to and fro.

They've been throwing things overboard, trying to keep themselves safe and manageable within

0:42.5

the storm, and nothing seems to be working.

And Paul has given them a bit of insight through a vision he received from God that the

ship is going to be lost, but all of them, all the people, are going to be safe.

When the 14th night had come, as we were being driven across the Adriatic Sea about midnight

the sailors suspected that they were nearing land, so they took a sounding and found

twenty fathoms, and a little further on they took a sounding again and found fifteen

fathoms, and fearing that we might run on the rocks they let down four anchors from the

stern and prayed for day to come.

And as the sailors were seeking to escape from the ship and had lowered the ship's

boat into the sea under pretense of laying out anchors from the bow, Paul said to the

centurion and the soldiers, unless these men stay in the ship you could not be saved.

Then the soldiers cut away their ropes of the ship's boat and let it go.

As Dave was about to dawn, Paul urged them all to take some food, saying, today's

the 14th day that you've continued to suspense, and without food, having taken nothing, therefore
