with the truth of God's Word. We're going to be doing that today by looking at another

portion of what we've come to call the Lord's Prayer. This is a model prayer that Jesus

gave us to teach us how to pray. I don't know about you but I always can use instruction

in learning how to pray. We're going to get to that in just a moment. Before we do

though, I want to remind you, coming up on Friday is our prayer episode. We call it

All right today we're looking at Matthew chapter 6 verse 11 and we're with Jesus in his

School of Prayer as he's teaching us how to pray. And today he focuses in on what many

of us think of when we think of prayer and that is making requests of God. He does this

by using the terminology of a very basic life need our need to eat. And Jesus expression

of this is in the form of requests to the Father saying, give us this day our daily bread.

And I feel like there are a handful of things we can notice about this. First off, remind

ourselves we're speaking to God who is our Father. We've already seen that a couple of episodes

ago. We're also speaking to a God who we know cares for our needs. That also was covered

in an episode a couple of days ago. Now today we are first of all prompted to ask him for
