So tomorrow, my wife and I are meeting with my daughter's boyfriend,

and I'm quite sure he's going to be asking for her hand in marriage.

I have two concerns slash questions.

The first is he, and this is the lesser of the two, but he didn't reach out to me.

He reached out to my wife and, you know, she asked me and everything like that. It's like,

okay, well, that's a little odd. But the larger question is they are currently living together.

And I don't know this, but I suspect they may be planning some kind of, you know, destination kind of wedding with, you know, without any, you know, Catholic component to it or anything like that.

So I'm sort of torn.

It's like, you know, of course I want to support my wife.

I'm in my daughter,

but I have grave concerns if that's what is going to be happening. And I know, I mean,

they are definitely living together. I mean, that's not an if. But so that's my question. I suspect

you've been asked this before. But do you have any thoughts on that?

I'm wondering, first of all, how old are the two of them? They are 24. Okay. And she was raised Catholic.

I don't suppose she's practicing her faith anymore, is she?

Yes.

She was raised Catholic because she's not practicing her faith.

And he, in fact, is Catholic.
