Hey guys, this is Cynthia Yanov, and I'm so glad you're with us on Pardon the Mess today.

We have Jess Connolly with us today, And Jess is an author and a speaker and does

all kinds of great things. But she's written a book that has my eye. It's called You Are the

Girl for the Job, Daring to Believe the God Who Calls You. And I will say in a day where there's so

many books out there that are very self-help, that are very, get your tribe, you can do this. I was at first wondering, and the more

I read into this book, the more I loved it, because she just speaks truth into finding what we're

called to do and actually doing it. But she comes from a place of knowing where God speaks into it

and knowing our weaknesses and how God's going to use our weaknesses for his great glory.

And so it's so biblically based and it's such an encouragement. I think it's a word for all of us

to get past the insecurities or waiting for the next thing to happen or we don't have a

following. We can't be effective. But the reality is we all have people that we influence every day,

not the least of which is the children in our

house. And so I love how Jess speaks into this. And don't miss the last few minutes this podcast

where she talks to us just about allowing our kids a safe place to fail, speaking into them,

why we're doing the things we do and redefining the success in them.

It was really, really practical and good.
