Good sort of race, oh, okay, though. Good sort of race show, okay though. That might be the best question I've ever been on. On Torrey's show, I love to ask people, what does it mean to you to be black and where does that show up in your

work we've heard a lot of interesting answers and I knew I would get an

interesting answer from the actress Yolanda Ross.

She's had an amazing long career and I feel like blackness is really important to her work so I really wanted to know how she

would answer that question.

Influencer, it's a word that gets tossed around a lot these days. There is a woman who went the distance who

broke ground as the first true influencer by living a remarkable life. Her name

I ask a lot of people who come on the show, what does being black mean to you in the context of your work?

And I wonder how that feels to you. You know, being black to me is showcasing us truthfully, whether it is somebody you like or don't like, but be truthful to who that person is.

Because I mean, to me, is.

Because I mean, to me, I'm not really interested in the pretty people, the people that, you know, whatever are supposed to be this,

that or the other.

It's like I'm interested in the person that you don't like or that you don't ever like pay attention to because I want you to get to know them. I want to get to know them. We don't take the time to get to know people. You know, as human beings, we have to

sum people up quickly as we function. That's how we function.
