On the morning of March 27, 2011, the manager of the Lulu Lemon store in Bethesda, Maryland,

showed up at around 8 a.m.

She was planning to open the store as usual, but she found the door already unlocked.

And as soon as she stepped inside that dark store, she saw signs of chaos. And the store was covered in

blood. Then she heard a woman moaning. Terrified, she backed out of that store and called 911.

When she got outside, she saw a 27-year-old man sitting outside the Apple store.

He was just randomly there that morning.

He had gotten there early because he wanted to buy a new iPad.

She asked for help, so they went inside the store together.

They found the body of a white woman lying face down in a pool of blood at the back of the store.

The woman was 30-year-old

Jana Murray. She was a Lulu Lemon employee who had worked the night before. Jana had been viciously

attacked. She had been beaten and stabbed. She had a red toolbox resting on one shoulder.

The back of her pants had been cut open, and investigators later

figured out, Jaina had been tortured with several different weapons that were inside that toolbox.

Bethesda is an affluent area near Washington, D.C. So this is an area where there are moms on

their school runs, people walking their Labradoodles, drinking their morning coffee.

They were shocked to see crime scene tape go up in front of the Lulu Lemon store.

The Lulu Lemon murders really rocked this affluent community.

The hunt for the killer would eventually make police question everything that they thought they knew

Music Police started canvassing the area, and part of that was talking to people who worked in nearby stores.
