ready today to get your mind aligned with God's truth so that you can live this day by his truth and in his power.

Let's join together today around 1st Peter, chapter 5.

We've been looking at verses 8 and 9, talking about the reality,

not the myth, not the fable, not the legend of a devil, but the reality of a devil. There are spiritual forces out there that have rebelled

against God. We refer to them as the demonic realm or devils. And we are in a battle with them, whether we recognize it or not. But my

friends there is no reason for us to be afraid. There really isn't. Some people think of God and the devil or Jesus and the devil in terms of

dark and light with God being the light and the devil being the darkness.

And they think of them in terms of them being somewhat equal

and they are battling each other in this fight to the death

and who's gonna win and all of that sort of tension.

But the Bible is very clear that God and Satan are not equal.

They are not equally strong. They do not have equal influence. They do not have

kind of this balance like a yin and a yang in Eastern philosophy. That is not the

case at all and that is great news for us. The way the Bible

portrays the contrast between God and Satan is that God is supreme and he's not just like a little bit stronger than the

devil he is ultimately stronger. Let me give you some phrases that will help you

get this into perspective.

God is the Creator.

The Devil is a creation.

He's a creative being.
