On Wednesday, the 22nd of October, the Prime Minister, Sarkier-Starmer, insisted that the inquiry

into grooming gangs in England and Wales would never be watered down.

During a noisy session of PMQs,

the Conservative leader Kemi Badenock said four abuse survivors,

who've resigned, had lost confidence in the investigation.

At the start of this year, the Conservative leader Kemi Badenok

would regularly use her weekly exchanges with

Sarkir Stama to call for a national investigation into grooming gangs. In June, the Prime Minister

dropped his resistance. But four months on, the inquiry has yet to start work. And this week,

four survivors of abuse quit, complaining about the government's

handling of the process. When she rose from her place yesterday, Kemi Badock told the Commons

she would ask her first question on behalf of one of those victims, Fiona. She said, being

dismissed and contradicted by a minister when you're telling the truth

takes you right back to that feeling of not being believed all over again.

Fiona's question is simple.

What's the point in speaking up if we're just going to be called liars?

Kirstama said the grooming scandal was one of the worst scandals of our time

and survivors had been ignored for many years,

including by the state that was supposed to protect them.
