This is our first episode since we did an Instapod, an emergency pod, just after we heard Sunday afternoon,

I think maybe 90 minutes after whenever that was when President Biden announced on Twitter actually

that he was dropping out of the presidential campaign when we did that quick

like 20 minute episode at that point we had heard the big news that he was

dropping out and the also pretty critical news that he was formally endorsing

Kamala Harris to be his successor as nominee and as we know over the last not even really just

over the last three days like almost over the next 24 hours it became very clear that Harris would be the nominee and you know you all know at this

point kind of how that all shook out so as you can imagine that is our big topic today. Before we get into that I want to remind you. We are actually today is the end of the first week of our annual TPM Journalism Fund drive.

That is, it's one of two drives we do a year, one a membership sign up drive, one for the TPM journalism fund. We have a big goal this year. We're trying to raise $500,000

We are on you know at the end of today is going to be one week. We are coming up on 250,000 dollars after one week, so that's great. We want to keep the momentum going if you enjoy listening to this podcast if you are a fan slash member slash reader of TPM please consider
