They're expected to be experts in medical and scientific matters.

Most of them probably knew virtually nothing about just a few short months ago.

So on today's red lines, we're asking which politician has most grown into his or her role over the course of the pandemic?

Well, I'm going to shock the DUP to its foundations

by going for Arlene Foster,

not so much for her handling of the pandemic

because I think the jury is still out on that

as it is for the entire executive.

But for her politics craft,

she has certainly learned something,

I think, from the last three or four years of purgatory for Arlene Foster.

The old Arlene Foster would have exploded on a couple of occasions at the start of this.

She didn't do that, and she has displayed a calmness that wasn't always evident in Arlene Foster in the past.

Totally agree with Garth.

On all counts, I would be highly critical of the executive's handling of coronavirus crisis,

particularly in relation to care homes.

But in terms of her presentation, her appearances at the Daily Stormand Press conferences,

she has been very stateswoman-like.
