Well, hey guys, welcome to the Daily Drive. If we haven't met, my name is Carlos, and I get to be a part of the

pastoral team here at Lake Point. And we get to hang out this week for a few minutes every day as we dive together into the Word of God. And today we're

reading Romans chapter 5 verse 3 to 4. It says this, we can rejoice to when we run into problems and

trials for we know that they help us develop endurance and endurance develops

strength of character and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation when i was in high

school i was a i was in the basketball team and at that time i remember some of my friends in

addition to playing the sports that they played some of my friends started to try weightlifting.

Now, I remember seeing my friends starting to lift heavy weights at my school gym, and I would see their faces in pain as they try to lift something that was clearly too heavy for them to lift.

And I remember thinking, why would anybody want to do that?

That does not look very fun.

And then I would run into my friends and the following day, their legs would be shaking,

their arms would feel weak, their muscles would be sore, they'd be limping in pain.

And I just, I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea of somebody actually enjoying this
