making it into the P-4. He's an SEC head coach. And I mean, so far just throughout spring, he's really hit the ground running.

It definitely seems like every step that he takes is intentional.

You looking at this from afar, how would you rate this?

Well, the interesting thing about coming from the P4 to the SEC in today's world and specifically

this 2026 SEC football conference is I think one of the questions you hear a lot is, well,

you're going up against higher caliber coaches. You're going to, I mean, this is best of the best.

These are the guy. And there's a lot of truth to that.

In this version of the SEC, you certainly have more season coaches like Lane Kiffin at LSU,

who's in his first year, or Caitlin DeBoard, Alabama, who is going into year three and has

been a head coach for a very long time.

I look around the SEC this year and go, tell me why Alex Golish isn't at least with what

he did at South Florida on paper, a middle tier SEC coach at worst because I don't know which

other coach has the track I mean I like Jeff

Levy at Mississippi State he doesn't have the track record yet to to show me

definitively he's better than Alex Golish at Auburn and John Sumerall was

literally in Alex Golish's conference last year and he's making the exact same jump. So I'm fascinated

to see how quickly he gets things moving in a positive direction because I don't think that

you have the same types of kind of veteran presences across the board with a couple exceptions that maybe you might have
