Hello. night's sleep story hello and welcome to this sleep story from Abide I'm Bonnie Curry and it's an honor to have you join me tonight as I read yes and amen tonight we will be letting the promises of God

saturate our spirits as we meditate on what he says to us in his unchanging word

the scripture that will be the foundation of tonight's story is from

second Corinthians 1 19 and 20 in the new international version for the son of God

Jesus Christ who was preached among you by us, by me and Silas and Timothy,

was not yes and no, but in him it has always been yes.

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are yes in Christ.

And so through Him, the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God.

In the context of this scripture, the Apostle Paul was attesting to the Corinthians that God

never breaks a promise.

God's promises are not fickle or mercurial. They are dependable and immovable. They can be trusted

when everything else crumbles away. As Paul says in Romans 3 indeed let God be true but every man a liar God cannot lie

we read again in numbers19, God is not human that he should lie, not a human being,

that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act?

Does he promise and not fulfill?
