Summary

Hey, the year is rapidly winding down and so is the Year in Review. In this installment, Andy and Brendan pick up with some post U.S. Open fallout, rip through the Travelers, Bryson-Tim split, Phil tweeting at local media, Pat Reed being called to serve, and a full recap The Open, the last men’s major in a super season. The topics range from “This Driver Sucks” to Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker being included with Giannis in a graphic. This is the usual SGS approach to the year in review, focusing more on the amusing, inane, and extraordinary. We’re just about done, but you can enjoy this month-long rollout at your convenience during the last 10 days of the year. This year’s series is brought to you by Precision Pro Golf, the official rangefinder of the Shotgun Start.

Hey, how about those games yesterday?

1:15.0

Yeah, that one, you know, I'm a grown-ass man. Sports don't, you know, ruin my day anymore. A lot of my, that one hurt. That one hurt.

1:24.0

I don't think the browns are good. It's never not going anywhere, but that one hurt.

1:28.0

A little magic. Nick Mullins, the Mullins magic, third strainer, or whatever it was signed off the street for a day. Yeah, that one hurt. The browns blew it.

1:39.0

We could have easily had that one in the first place, but I didn't watch any of the late game, the Bears Vikings.

1:46.0

I saw a lot of tweets about, you know, Matt Nagy seemed to not be doing good stuff. I don't know what happened.

1:54.0

Well, the coordinators were out.

1:56.0

Okay, that's right. That's right. Okay. That's the big bad Nagy game. I mean, they scored three points. I guess I got the touchdown at the very end.

2:06.0

But they had the, I mean, the Vikings didn't get a first down until like two minutes into the four, two minutes left in the fourth corner, three minutes left in the first fourth corner in the second half.

2:19.0

And the Bears were in the red zone all, all game long and had like three points. The whole game. It was just a comedy of bears.

2:28.0

All I saw was Kurt Cousin's stat line. He was like, you made like complete like 12 passes for like 140 yards, and they won by whatever eight or nine. I just couldn't believe it.

2:40.0

It was, I mean, here's the thing. I feel pretty confident for the first time in my life that the bears have a very good, potentially very good golf or quarterback.

2:53.0

Yeah, he could be very good. Like I've seen him make plays that I'm just like, wow, we've never had somebody that could do that.

3:00.0

Yeah, my lifetime. So we just got to get rid of the administration. Yeah, everybody's got to go. It's got just.

3:11.0

Yeah, browser screwed going to Green Bay on Christmas short week. Everybody's out with COVID. Everybody's hurt. It's just the disaster seasons over.

3:19.0

Oh, well, you get up there and then get, you know, you play against the refs to up there. So I've been told I've been bored.
