Hello, and welcome to the Nataicast podcast, the one true chapter-by-chapter podcast that usually goes through a song of ice and fire, but not here.

I'm one of your hosts Emmett, also known as Poor Quentin.

And I'm your other host, Manu, also known as Manucleur Bomb.

And welcome to our year-end episode for 2025. We made it

somehow. I feel like that's what we said last year around this time too. We somehow made it

through another 12 months. Good for us, I guess. Yeah, getting another year around the sun,

always a major accomplishment. I think it becomes more and more impressive with each year. It's true. It's a long way around. The sun doesn't even move. Sun's so lazy just sits there in the center of the solar system. And technically it's getting longer, I think, like very infinitesimally every year. So technically it is harder to go around the sun every year. We're going to have to add an extra leap day at some point down the line.

So yes, this is what we do at the end of every year here in the Nauticast.

We take stock of everything non-Songovice and Fire related.

We've loved over the past year.

Obviously, we have so much fun going through the chapter by chapter process normally,

but we also do other things.

You may be shocked to hear.

We take in other things besides thrones and all thrones-related things.

So just like we did last year, year before that,

we're going to be talking about everything we loved in 2025.

Yeah, and I guess we'll just dive into our 2025, not a rapt.

And I think we can say that 2025 was a difficult year in many respects.

I think at a political level, especially in the United States, the United Kingdom, and pretty much everywhere.

It's been tough, and I think we will see a lot of our top things, a lot of the most prominent artworks of 2025 reflect that.

I bet you can say that about every year to some extent, and it's probably true. Some of these

movies and TV shows take years to make, so as much as there seem to be riffing on
