Summary

Shortly after his Twitter account got re-activated, Kanye 'Ye' West tweeted a swastika/Star of David image, and Elon Musk booted him off again. Is that the right way to deal with bigotry and anti-Semitism? Is Musk reducing the volume of hateful ideas by squelching this influential figure, or would it be more useful to allow fringe ideas free rein so that we know who the bigots are and can challenge their despicable speech in public? And Tim Cook assured him that he never had any intention of removing the Twitter app

0:39.4

from the app store and that all their difference and Elon Musk said all their differences are

thought how long before the tweet that says, they got to Elon?

0:58.7

Well, here's a thing. I'm taking this at face value that Tim Cook and Elon Musk settled whatever

1:06.3

their differences were. And Musk came out. He didn't just say that Apple wasn't going to do it.

1:11.7

He said Apple never had any intention of doing it.

1:16.4

That's right.

1:17.1

So, well, who knows maybe that was just part of their handholding agreement.

1:22.1

But the behind the scenes threat, if it was real, was that if Twitter didn't reimpose the kind of content moderation that Apple wanted, that they would yank it from the store.

1:34.5

Well, apparently there are two sets of rules.
