I'm going to play this season on the franchise tag or not. Spoiler alert, they're not giving up $10 million or whatever it's going to be to not play this year. So I think we'll see all three of those guys on the field this year, but we'll kind of wait and see how things plays out. I gave you a little thoughts on a couple thoughts on fantasy football to close our number two at the quarterback position to a little bit more of that as we move along. Some national football league as we move along as well, but joining us right now to talk the open championship coming up this week in golf is our good friend essay. I always say that he's very handsome, but for the people that are fortunate enough right now to be watching this on video. I actually asked him.

This is actually what my skin looked like the chisel jawline too. We got like the features are all really renounced. I don't know. I'm guessing you do Pat. You need to be in movies. If this is what you're going to look at, but not doing content with the two of us. Got the got the teeth are looking white too. We got the tan. There's a lot going on here. Then there's something to be said about really good lighting, by the way. No, no, no, that's I do the show when I close it. In terms of the open pet, I, I, you know,

usually we don't start with like one golfer is usually a general question. Like tell us about the course or tell us about, you know, like the group of contenders. I feel like so much of the conversation this week will be about Rory. So maybe we just kind of start with him. You want again. He's the favorite to win this tournament, depending on where you go. He's either the favorite of the co favorite along with Scottie Sheffler. Close calls at a couple majors in the last couple of years, including the open championship last year, which came Smith one. Like where you add on him and this price about seven to one.

To win the open. Do you think he finally gets it done? He will kind of be like the popular bet doesn't have to be the winning bet. Um, and he thoughts on Rory. I, Rory's fine. And if Rory wins, no one's going to be super surprised. He won his last major at his second to last major, his third major at this course nine years ago, before winning a month later at the PGA championship as well, one of WGC in between. So when Rory wins once he tends to get hot and continues to win. That's something we'd seen as a path over his career. So what's not going to be

shocking if he won this week. However, I bet on Scotty Sheffler to win because I woke up on Monday morning and opened up myriad sportsbooks just to see who's got the odds here because Sheffler was favored on some Rory was favored on others. They were the same. And I opened up one and had a big 10 next to Scotty Sheffler's name. So I said, hmm, that sounds good. I'll go with that. Sheffler should be the favorite at this tournament. Tea to green. He's 2006 Tiger Woods. It's unbelievable. And getting him on

the slower greens is exactly where you want to have him because he's been putting himself out of wins. He is not putting himself out of tournaments. He is putting himself out of wins. He hasn't finished outside of the top five in any tournament over the past four months. That is ludicrous. That type of run. So even if he plays poorly, he might still win. And if you get a lucky putting week from Sheffler, he's going to win. And the best part is, as we know, the open championship right now, you can look at the long range

forecast. I've done it myself. The weather looks really good. There's going to be a little bit of rain. So you're going to get somewhat soft conditions. The wind is way down. But this is on the coast in England. I live on the coast in Canada, almost directly across the Atlantic Ocean meeting up at the same point. I couldn't tell you I can look at the radar. That's fine. It's not going to tell me whether it's going to be two hours from now. We could get guests up to 50 miles per hour. So in the inevitable case that we do end up with one day of really harsh conditions or four days.

Of really harsh conditions. Rory needs to win major championships in tournaments at minus 15 minus 16. Scotty Sheffler can win both. He can win at minus one. He can win at minus 20. Rory is not geared to win these more difficult major championships. We've just never seen it. Scotty can.

Pat, I want to get your thoughts on some of the other players at the top of the odds board here. Whether it's guys that have won majors recently in John Romney Brooks, Capca Victor, Hovelin's a 20 to one. And the reigning open champion, Cam Smith, it's 16 to one. How about those players here? They range from Romney 12 to one to Hovelin, Capca 20.

Rom is obviously the most intriguing. The one that's massively underpriced of that group and I don't think you hit on them. I don't understand how Brooks can be behind Hovelin at a major championship. So therefore, if I was going to go in that range and even Cam Smith, like this is an accuracy base course off the tee. Maybe he clubs down, regain some of his accuracy.

But once you get off the tee box, Cam Smith's probably the best player in the world. Unfortunately, you have to drive on 14 of the holes. And that I guess, yeah, 14 of the holes here. It's part 71 this time around. So that kind, it doesn't exclude him, but that had made him this big of a favorite, like he should be almost double that price at this particular open championship, whereas it's saying Andrews is where you want and you're fine.

There's a lot of trouble and OB lurking just slightly off the fairways Royal Liverpool. So Hovelin's a big no for me, mainly because it's the Brooks factor is sitting right there, not to say that Hovelin can't beat Brooks or Hovelin can't win.

But if everyone's just going to be 20 to one, Zander, can't wait, Fowler, doesn't matter who it is. I love Fowler this week. I think Fowler can win. I can't justifiably, justifiably bet Ricky Fowler at 20 to one or Victor Hovelin at 20 to one. When Brooks Capca is also 20 to one. I don't understand why his odds are down there.

So that's really thrown me for a loop.

Paddy, you mentioned, you know, Ricky Fowler, some of these other guys that have competed at majors. I think at the US Open, the strategy a lot of people took was like, all right.

Kind of what you're talking about. Like I like all these golfers. Is there a guy at a longer price, whose form is really good recently? Maybe he hasn't won a major yet or maybe hasn't won a lot.

I know a lot of people settled on Wyndham Clark and hit like some pretty big numbers on him. He had played it. You just want to tournament earlier in the season who's playing really, really well, didn't have the pedigree that those guys did.

Is there a player kind of on your radar right now? Like maybe hasn't won a major yet, but he's had great results recently kind of like trending in the right direction.

And so the price will be a little bit longer. Sort of like, is there a Wyndham Clark for the Open here? Somebody that you're interested in.
