what are you seeing with the MVP markets? Yeah sure so going into break just made a point about not getting too locked into one player or a couple

players who are doing really well at the moment to win an award that it's too

early to get locked into players like that even if they're the best players even if it's a

player like Juan Soto or a player like you know it name any historically

legendary player like sure worth noting that if they're number one they're having a really good season

bets on Otani right now in the NL I guess would be the perfect example this like definitely could be one of them

just understand that on May 1st, so a week ago, the winner typically was not only was it not the person in first, wasn't the person in second, it was frequently somebody further down sort of like a think of it as an overall batting rank.

So I read just some of the ranks of like some of the previous winners and it's looked like soda was first this year on May 1st and I'm going to I mean I have to

imagine Betz was first and Otani was second on May 1st in this is

fan graphs offensive ranking and so cool like maybe they just go wire to wire and it's because it's

Juan Soto and because it's Betsy notani like they're unassailable they're that

good a lot of times maybe we get to May 1st and it's a bizarre candidate who's in first it's not a guy who can sustain it over the course of a season but like that's not what a lot of these are it's not that some random like silly player is in first place and they fade away.

Like it's usually somebody pretty good and it's not that they end up having to win. It just it just proves

what I think we know but I just want to emphasize which is how long the season is and this was a big

leak for me last year is getting way too wrapped up in even what's happening now.
