American National League and then you and Jake and Tyler if you want to also can kind of chime in and give us some bedding thoughts. So in the American League

Garrett Cole was your runaway winner of American League Sai Young in the MLB.com poll. The New York Yankee receiving 38 first place votes, which

kind of corresponds to his price in the betting market at bed MGM. Garrett Cole minus 275 right now to win American League Sai Young.

Cole followed by Toronto's Kevin Galsman, Show Hay O'Tani, Nasty Nadia Valdi who's now throwing off a mound for the Texas Rangers.

And Framber Valdes who threw a no hit around August 1st Houston Astros, but it's kind of like struggled kind of around that no hitter in the National League.

Kind of like all over the place here in terms of first place, first place votes.

Zach Dallan of Arizona comes in first in the polling despite not getting the most first place votes. That went to Jake's longtime nemesis Blake

Snell aka Blake Snell who received 21 first place votes. Justin Steele of the Cubs. I would ask if Justin Steele weren't a picture. What would he do?

But I don't want anyone to get in trouble. Justin Steele is third, Spencer Strider fourth with nine first place votes.

And then Logan Webb in fifth gallon is the favorite at bed MGM at plus 180 Snell plus 275 Steele at nine Strider at seven.

Yeah, I mean, I can fold both together just to start in this way. We're going to get really close to having to follow one of the cardinal rules of awards betting, which is when the voters tell you who they're going to vote for, just believe them, don't, don't try to invent reasons why it's going to be something different than that. Now we're not quite there yet because we have more than 40 games to play.

Recent sea bias is always very strong with awards voting. So if somebody closes very strong in any award market, not even these two, it'll matter.

And I went back to the polls conducted last year by this same block. And you know, how much did they flip down the stretch?

The two sad young winners, Verlander and Al Contra were like runaway winners the whole time for like the final six weeks. So we didn't really have a dynamic like what we have in the NL this year to go off of.

So it's kind of like how malleable are these votes? How much could they change? We just don't really know the answer to that. But we're we're not to like just believe the voters yet, but man, like there'll probably be another poll probably the first week of September would be my guess maybe second week of September.

And then there's usually one like right at the end of the season. Obviously the one at the end of the season is like the voters are telling you who they're voting for just believe them.

The next one is kind of like we're going to start to get there where even if I think something is crazy or I think something doesn't make a lot of sense to me historically or whatever.

You have to, I mean, polling is a really valuable tool to use to just okay, like here are the people who make the decisions to a certain extent where are they at on this stuff, even if I think it's stupid or I think it doesn't matter.
