She did everything wrong.

She did not create a mission statement, a vision statement, a strategic plan, nothing.

The colors she chose were too stark and too plain.

The phrases, they were too short, too platitudinal.

She had no extra time, no business experience, and no budget.

And the idea that simple yard signs might make an actual difference seemed highly unlikely.

And yet, in April of 2017, after learning of another suicide in her community, Amy

Wolf knew she had to do something.

Amy wanted to remind individuals in her community to keep going, to not lose hope, to recognize the value of their life.

She wanted them to know they were not alone and that in spite of current adversity, better days remained ahead.

So Amy bought a couple dozen white yard signs with phrases like, don't give up.

You are enough and you're not alone.

She printed them in black letters and then she drove around her neighborhood.

She knocked on some doors and asked if she could place a few in their yards.

There was no branding.

There was no hidden agenda. There was no website. There was no

desire at all for personal attention or for money. Amy just wanted to be an encouragement.

War, though, began to spread who placed them. And to her surprise, people not only liked the signs, they wanted more of them.
