Everybody knows. The Yankees go through this every year. You know, they have the June

swoon. They don't play well. Fire, boom, get rid of Cashman. This guy's terrible. That guy's terrible. At the end of the year, the Yankees will be right where they're going to be. They'll be in the thick of things, if not the top of the division. They'll be in the playoffs and then they'll take it from there. But I always say, you know,

when you hear people say, fire, boom,

fire cashmen, who are you going to bring in?

Right. Well, I think the, mostly, I think you're right, the one name that I'm sure people would say immediately would be Cora, Cora, Cora. But that's the name that's out there. I know for the Mets, too. Met fans are hoping that he's the next guy.

But I agree with you. I'm not one of these. I don't love Aaron Boone. I am not a Boone hater by any stretch. And exactly what you said is what we were discussing last week. The American League is down. It is not a great league. The Razor certainly a very good baseball team. other than that, to me, it's still the Yankees

League to lose, even though they're in second place right now. They need Aaron Judge Back. There's no question about it, but boy, this Ben Rice, you know, you talk about a little bit of a swoon. He might have dipped a little bit, but his last six, seven games coming up with big hit after big hit, home run after home run.

How about the fine that has been Rice has been?

It's been great.

I mean, for a guy to come in and do what he's doing, put up those numbers, who are to think of it, right?

You know, every year, as a former player who's played, and I'm sure, a boomer and Tiki, you know, sit here and they talk about, every year the players are going to go through a slump, especially in baseball, it's a marathon, you know, and you're going to have your highs and lows and you've got to just try to maintain even keel. You know, try not to get in those long slumps. It's not the end of the world. It's the game is so mentally tough on you. When you're doing well, it's great. When you're doing that, you know, probably when he was hitting well, the ball is like a beach ball, right? And now you're struggling. It looks like a golf ball. So you've just got to get back to normal. Keep swinging. Keep working. Keep working. Keep working. And that's all you could do. And even as a pitcher, when you have those slumps, you go in a bullpen, you try to work out, your little kinks, you know, watch a little video, but you still got to go out and perform, and the way to get better is to keep playing. Yeah, and so, and you mentioned the pitching. I know Schlittler pitched on Saturday. I mean, his season's been remarkable, too. In a year where, you know, you look at what this rotation will be again when they're whole, whether it's Rodon coming back, Max Fried coming back, Garrett Cole is now back, and then you throw Schlittler into the mix as we have. I mean, his season has been remarkable. Even he had the one bad start.

Other than that, I mean, he's been as consistent as you want from a starting pitcher.

And the whole thing with the All-Star game is very interesting.

But, you know, they needed him Saturday to kind of keep the momentum going.

He pitched well enough.

They get the late offense to come back and win that game in Washington. I would

think when you are looking at short series, when you get to the postseason, let's just assume

for a second that, you know, it's a big assumption, but let's forget about Stanton. Let's just

assume that Judge is back and what he does to that lineup. If the starting rotation is in place, I think my biggest concern might be closing out games

in a big spot in the postseason.

But when you look at this starting rotation and what the lineup can be, let's start with

the pitching.
