This was the one where the Yankees gave away a game. And it's not so much, and I'll get into it

because you know what comes with the bullpen giving up runs. Boone's an idiot.

So we'll get to my favorite conversation of defending Aaron Boone.

But what's frustrating about this loss is the nature of what the positive of the win could have been.

This is a game you go in against Burns, having swept the opening series, talking about the torpedo

bats and everything that goes with it and the explosive offense, and they're, you know, back

to being the evil empire and all the stuff I was having fun with, as everyone was hating, crying,

and bitching about the Yankee scoring runs and hitting home runs.

And you knew with the day off heading in to this series against the three best

pitchers for this Arizona Diamondbacks team, and specifically Burns, who pitches well against

them, one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball, big free agent signing for the Arizona

and Diamondbacks.

You know how much they could pitch.

Last year they led the National League and run scored. And to go into this on a cold 50-degree night with

Burns versus Warren, that's a game that you don't expect necessarily to have in the palm of

your hands in the eighth inning. It's a game you don't expect to be up four to. It's a game

you don't expect to win when Will Warren gives up a home run early on in the game to Corbyn Carroll and the Yankees

...
