What's up everybody? Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show. Scott just reminded me that the Yankees won the series. Guess what, Scott? I don't give a shit. My first question to you is, does this feel like a first place to me? Because I was talking to my dad. All right? I was talking to my dad yesterday. And through the first two weeks in the season where the Yankees had like a 10 and 2 record, 10, three record, nothing from them. Barely a text message about the Yankees. This is, this is a part for the course. This is exactly how I would expect your family to act on that side. Over the past week, really call it the Toronto and the Tampa Series, which you're right. They did win the Tampa Series. So when you look at it from the two series combined,

they're even. They're 500 on the last week. So things could be much worse. But his question was,

and I do agree with him, that he said, does this feel like a first place team? And my answer is no, they're not playing like a first place team.

I know they're in first place largely because of the hot start, but other than Juan Soto,

this team is not playing like a first place team. So like I wanted to get your thoughts there.

What about Nasser Cortez? Is Nessar Cortez giving you first place vibes? Because his last two

outings have been

fantastic going deep into the game striking out getting double plays being efficient sure he's he's

actually been a big rebound guy that i wasn't expecting to fully rebound and he's been really really

good so far yeah other than i think his first start or no, no, it was his first start against

Houston. I think he got he struggled through or like he grinded through five innings. There was

one start in there where where he struggled. I forget who it came against probably against Eric.

Yeah, yeah. But yeah, for for for the most part, his last couple outings have been really good.

And Louis Hill was fantastic yesterday. Like he was a completely different pitcher from the Toronto outing versus the outing against Tampa. And I guess the whole series,

the whole series really, the starting pitching was was good. Clark Schmidt, I thought was good as well.

And, you know, had that streak of what, like five or six guys that he struck out in a row. And he needed

the strikeouts

too because at that point in the game, he was having runners on third base with less than two

outs. Like he, he struck up five in a row and he needed those five strikeouts to not give up
