Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show.

I feel like the need to timestamp our recording right now, Scott. It is 9.03 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6th. Last night, the Yankees

traded for Alex Verdugo. And then immediately there's smoke around, oh, Verdugo might be flipped

to the Padres for a Juan Soto trade. And obviously, the Yankees have been one of the leading

candidates to trade for Juan Soto throughout the past week at theseoto trade. And obviously the Yankees have been one of the leading candidates to trade for

Juan Soto throughout the past week at these winter meetings.

And not even not even there's leading candidates like the Yankees,

Yankees and the Yankees brass and the analysts on the Yes network.

Everybody's talking about it as if it's,

it's already happened and they just need to, you know,

dot the eyes

and cross the T's and announce a thing that that's what it feels like it does right and in classic

Bronx pinstripe show fashion we're recording and when we press stop five seconds later a big deal

will go down well so you know we got to hit windows we got uh we got We got jobs. We might be back on. You might get a

tack-on portion of this podcast if the Yankees end up making a big move for Soto. But regardless,

very interesting that the Yankees acquired Alex Verdugo last night. And I remember a rumor from

maybe a month ago shortly after the season

ended that the Yankees were interested in Alex Verdugo and the Red Sox would be interested

...
