Summary

The Yankees finally moved Jazz Chisholm to second and DFA’d DJ LeMahieu. C-Mac said it feels like a cleansing period after 3 weeks of a disaster. The Yankees still need to add bullpen arms according to C-Mac. We also talked about the Mets as they get ready for a double header today against the Orioles. C-Lo returned for his final update of the day and started with the Yankees win over the Mariners as Jazz hit two homers. Brian Cashman said he’s not counting Anthony Volpe out and still expects big things from him this season. Cashman also talked about the need for relievers and a third baseman. We heard a clip from the Netflix series, ‘Quarterback’, involving a furious Joe Burrow during a game. Kirk Cousins goes to ‘Great Clips’ for his haircuts. Deion Sanders won’t give us any information on his health condition. We heard from Mike Brown as he seems to like to reference the dating lives of players. The Moment of The Day: WFAN needs a text line. In the final segment of the show, Jerry quizzes Al to see how much he knows about C-Mac. He ended up working at WFAN because he ran into Monzo and Marc Malusis in Las Vegas.

But we did start way back when and should take a moment on the Yankees.

And I think resurgence is a pretty good word, given where they were going into Sunday's game against the Mets and kind of where they are now through the first couple of games against the Mariners.

Yeah, no, absolutely.

And not only that, Jerry, and I talked about this earlier, everything they've done off the field these last couple of days have really been a shot to the arm to the fan base who's been watching them

That's what it's felt like.

0:43.1

I know a lot of Yankee fans feel like there's been a lot of boneheaded decisions

through the years.

0:47.1

This was the one that really for me, it was hard to justify watching.

0:51.6

It made sense to start, but then Jazz couldn't play third.

1:11.2

LeMayhew could not play second. It wasn't justified with his offense. It just, it was costing them on a daily basis. It felt counterproductive to winning. And so to get the news, they made that switch, to get the news that they weren't so worried about the $15 million next year and that they cut DJLMAU and then you turn on the game last night and Schlittler is throwing a hundred miles

1:15.7

an hour and now they've won three games in a row playing crisp clean baseball and they're

scoring a ton of runs. It has been not only a resurgence, it's been like a rejuvenation.

1:24.1

It's felt like a cleansing period for Yankee fans. It's been a really good

couple of days and they've got to continue it here into the All-Star break. They've still got to

1:30.9

play a tough Seattle team with a tough pitching matchup today and then go on to the Cubs. But

1:35.1

this has been as good a couple of days after what was a three-week disaster that you could

possibly have asked for. Yeah, where they wound up going from in first place, now out of first place.

Blue Jays did lose yesterday.
