Yeah, Photo Globe Steve over here. There's a lot not to like about this song acoustic guitar, sweeping sentimentality,

love letter lyrics, clumsy metaphors, masquerading and sophisticated songwriting.

Is that a bad thing?

It's not like Steely Dan lyrics and then there's Dave Logan's lyrics, you know what I mean?

Yeah.

Like one of them lyrics in here, I'll imagine I'm a captain with a one woman

crew. And that in and of itself proves this guy is a fool. And also, the ship he imagines that they're on

is called the Sandcastle, which implies

it'll just dissolve when it hits water.

So if this is a yacht rock song,

this is the rare fool who doesn't realize he's a fool at all.

And that goes across the board, the singer, the character he's singing is.

No one knows they're a fool.

And that can make them the biggest fools of all.
