A right, the 20 year old thought her political party in control of the White House in Congress should have done more to protect. It made me so mad like I can't even deal with this. You have to focus on your own economic gain in this moment when millions of people have lost the right to bodily autonomy.

And there are a number of quotes in this article that are very similar and what they all amount to is idealistic young people finding out how politics really works.

And I don't mean to chuckle knowingly or or I'm not trying to be condescending because you sound condescending. I'm not condescending.

The interesting part about the word condescending. You remember after I visited Mount Vernon, George Washington's home, his uncle, there's a big tombstone to his uncle and said he was a fine and condescending man.

Interesting. I thought it was a funny description, but at the time it meant he was very kind to those below him in like their station in life.

To be condescending was to be kind. Well, that's not what it means now. No, it doesn't. And that's what you're doing young people, the second version.
