And John Lynch was the topic of conversation on Rich Eisen's show insider Tom Pellisero talking about whether John Lynch could potentially be fired at some point, especially if this 2026 draft class does not turn out for the San Francisco 49ers crock.

He said, what do you all think has changed in the 49ers offense since we let Debo go because I felt for a period of time that the

wideback offense was consuming Shanahan's play calling thoughts. What do you think about yards

after catch crock? What do you think about the 49ers offense? What does it look like post-Debo

Samuel? And do you think that Kyle Shanahan,

if I'm reading this question correctly, sometimes uses players as a crutch and has that

crutch transferred from Debo Samuel to Christian McCaffrey in the 49ers offense?

I think that you want to get the ball on your best player's hands as often as possible.

And the more they touch the ball, the more likely something special is going to happen.

You talk about using Debo Semiol as a crutch, but if anybody was used as a crutch,

it's probably Christian McAfee last year where he touched the ball more than anyone, any NFL.
