So what my mother did can be compared to Akeda,

sacrificing a life, her son, me,

even though she will be alone every day for many years

so that I can learn what it means to be Jewish.

When Avramavino, our forefather, was willing to slaughter his beloved son,

even after Hashem told him he'd created an entire nation from Isaac,

he was still willing because of his trust in God.

We all know that ultimately Hashem sent the angels and they ensured Isaac Yisach was safe. But something

did happen. He created a certain change in the DNA for all Jewish generations, the ability

to sacrifice what we love most for the ultimate purpose. This episode, you'll hear about

I was born in Chenstokhov, Poland in 1988.

At the time, there was no Jewish schools, no Hedoram,

Jewish preschools in Chesterhova, where I was born.
