| 0:00.0 | There's a book called Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill. Napoleon Hill is an ill white dude who died probably 100 years ago, but I listen to him on YouTube all the time. But he also is the author of Think and Grow Rich. I know a lot of people know that book. Yeah. But he wrote a book called Outwitting the Devil, and the whole book is about an interview with him interviewing the devil and asking the devil. How do you do what you do? You know what I mean? How do you have the impact on people? |
| 0:24.5 | You know what you do? |
| 0:21.4 | You know what I mean? How do you have the impact on people? You know what I mean? And they get to |
| 0:25.9 | this point in the book. You can listen to it on YouTube for free. It's three hours. Incredible book, |
| 0:29.9 | bro. They start talking about failure. And failure is important because sometimes failure break you out of a rhythm. |
| 0:38.8 | Sometimes you need failure to drop you on your ass so you can snap out of it and realize |
| 0:43.4 | that you've been sleep this whole time. |
| 0:45.6 | You get what I'm saying? |
| 0:46.4 | And when I heard that, some things we know, and we know that instinctively we know that. |
| 0:51.1 | But when you hear it, though, something about it makes it like, man, that's really, really, really true because I think about my previous relationship and I think about how comfortable I was in that relationship. Well, I think about me being in my city and, you know, certain things not going my way, which inspired me to try something differently. If I was comfortable, think about this. Even the people that's listening right now, there are some people, they've been good at school, their whole life, they've been good at climbing the corporate ladder, they whole life, they never had a significant interruption. That's why they never changed. You know, I'm saying? They stayed, and some of them people are, you know, unfulfilled. You know, people are in, like, very high positions feeling unfulfilled, you know what I mean? It's like, I got this and I got that. But dang, though, you know what I mean? Like, I never really took the risk to see what it was like to go here. You know what I mean? Or just experience different things. And it's because they didn't, they didn't have the failure for whatever reason. That's between you and God. But a lot of time when you get ripped away from your friendship, when you get ripped |
| 1:45.8 | away from your job, when you get ripped, I became an entrepreneur because I was leaving one job trying to grab another one. And then I ended up leaving the one job and then didn't get the other job. And then it was like, dang, well, I guess I'm going to shoot music videos then. And that allowed me to be an entrepreneur for the first time in my life for a year, making my own money for a year, and then it put me into like a proper mentality. Right. You know what I'm saying? But if I didn't lose that job that way, that probably would have never happened. And if I didn't become that entrepreneur for a year, I probably would have never moved to New York because I came to New York thinking I know how to make money by myself with my camera. |
