It's invaluable. Cody Alexander has made me sound so much smarter than I actually am. I just want to lay that out to the audience. And I'm sure you guys will understand what I'm talking about once we get him discussing match quarters and split field coverages. And as we know, look, Shane Bowen is now the Giants defensive

coordinator. There's no more Wink Martindale. And there's a stark contrast between those two

defensive coordinators. Cody Alexander, one of his books, it's called match quarters. And that's

going to be a lot of the philosophy that we see from Shane Bowen. So Cody, can you kind of give a pros and cons of running split field coverage

versus different offensive personnel and different offensive personnel sets and why we've

seen such an intense proliferation of split field coverages over the last several years?

Yeah, the biggest difference is going to just be the tightness and coverage. You're just not going to get a lot of the same looks that you get in a cover one that you guys probably have become accustomed to under Wink Martindale. So it's a big cover one, big close post defense, which means we're going to have a safety deep and in the middle of the field. Quarters is a little bit different than that. We're going to cap verticals, but we're going to have a safety deep and in the middle of the field. Quarters is a little bit different than that.

So it's not necessarily that we're going to have no one in the middle of the field.

Yeah, it looks at the, if you just snapshot the kind of the pre-snap, what the defense looks like. It does look like there's nobody in the middle of the pre snap what the defense looks like.

But what quarters really does, especially the way that Bowen runs it, is you create layers off of these concepts.
