Chalmese EVs are paying off. Workday doubles down on automation, and Brookfield rallies billions to build the backbone of AI.

Chalmese Electric Vehicle Division has made a profit for the first time.

In Q3, the EV arm posted an operating profit of 700 million U.N. after previously running losses.

That number is the equivalent of more than 98 million U.S.D.

However, the company's president said on a post-earnings call that he expects a drop in the

gross margin of the EV business next year due to scaled-back Chinese tax breaks and fierce

competition.

The EV division, which sold its first car last year, reversed a loss of 300 million

yuan in the previous quarter. Meanwhile, ShaoMe is targeting the delivery of 350,000 EVs this year.

Workday will acquire PipeDream, which is an AI integration platform. PipeDream's platform enables AI agents to initiate workflows,

pull data, and execute responsibilities across Workday

and external business applications such as Asana, HubSpot, Jira, Recurley, and Slack.

The transaction is expected to close in Q4 of fiscal year 2026, which ends January 31st.

The financial terms of the deal were not made public. The buyout complements workday's recent

acquisitions of Paradox, Flow Wise, and SENA. Brookfield Asset Management is launching a new

artificial intelligence infrastructure fund.

Executives told the Wall Street Journal that BAM is targeting to raise $10 billion in equity.

The asset manager has already raised $5 billion from investors, including NVIDIA, and Sovereign Wealth Fund, Kuwait Investment Authority, as well as from Brookfield's own balance sheet.

The fund will be used to build and acquire as much as $100 billion worth of AI infrastructure,

including data centers, power providers, and semiconductor manufacturing.
