Jumping right into the news, we have a new paper about a new sauropod from Africa.

And it was published in nature ecology and evolution,

and written by Hasham M. Salam and others.

It's a titanosaur from the Sahara Desert, and it's named Mansurosaurus, Shahine,

and Mansurosaurus is named after Mansura University, which was where most of the researchers on the publication were from.

Interestingly, Mansura University is north of Cairo.

It's in the Nile River Delta, and this was actually found hundreds of miles southwest, you know, past Cairo and everything, in central Egypt.

But I think they have one of the better paleontology programs in the area.
