I'm Ryan McCaffrey, host of IGM's weekly Xbox show,

Podcast Unlocked, and joining me now to break down everything revealed during the Xbox Game Show,

Miranda Sanchez, Michael Hyam, and Destin Legerre. Love the energy from the IGN live crowd right now. So quick impressions. First of all, just what did we think of the conference? Miranda, I will start with you. Well, no one can say that Xbox doesn't have games. That is true. There's so many games. A lot of updates, which is what we were asking for. It's like, let's get released dates, get timelines for a lot of these things. Because, you know, as we were saying, the pre-show, when are things coming out? And we got a lot of that, which is good. But also, I know me and my team are going to be very busy in September and February. February, yeah. I guess I won't be sleeping for a while, but it's best when I'm not sleeping because I'm playing a lot of video games. Michael, how is this conference for you? Great showcase. And it had the two things that I cared about most. No clown makeup today, man. I was right. We had P4, we have P6. I'm going to talk all about that later.

But they had the things I wanted and there's so much around that, just that sizzle reel at the end, with all the logos of all the games are showing. It's like, like Miranda said, I'm with you on that. Can't say Xbox don't got games no more. Destin, top level thoughts. What do you think of the Xbox Showcase? I really liked it and I really love seeing Xbox console exclusive on a lot of those trailers.

Perfect pivot. So there were two games that were deemed Xbox console exclusives, no PS5,

and that is Gears of War, E-Day, and...

Yeah. Miranda's number one game of the fall, certainly.

And then Clockwork Revolution, a new steampunk RPG, which we've seen before,

but now they're confirming that one as an Xbox console exclusive.

Let's start with Gears. I mean, that was the star of the show today.

I'm so happy. I have to start with

Miranda. So we learned a lot between, of course, the release date at the very beginning of the show,

October 6th, same day as Star Wars Galactic Racer, so make your choice. It's obvious.

On that one. But then we learned a lot more in the Gears Direct that immediately followed.

We've got a 12-player horde mode in multiplayer.

We've got a full-fledged campaign, Unreal Engine 5.

So, Miranda, you have high expectations for this series.
