What do you define as a blessing?

What is the thing that would make you say, oh, God is blessing me.

He is giving me exactly what I need my God to give me.

I mean, if you were to fill in the picture of the good life, what's the main thing it would

include for you that would make you say, high five, God is the goat.

The thing that means the most to me, he is giving to me

on a daily basis. In other words, if you saw somebody else that caused you to envy what they have

because they've got the thing you want most, what is the thing? Conversely, what is it that

tempts you to question God's goodness and his faithfulness

to you if you don't have it? What is it that makes you disappointed with God when he doesn't give it to you?

In short, what do you really want from God? Or more provocativelyatively what kind of Messiah do you want Jesus to be

to be honest I think that many of us are just not on Jesus's agenda page the things that we hope

for the things that we dream about the things that we pray for are not the same

things that Jesus bled and died for and poured out his grace to deliver to us. Maybe the reason

that some of us struggle with disappointment with God is because at the street level, we just want different things

than what God has worked to deliver to us. We don't value what he values. When we come to Jesus
