except that Miles is not here and it's in the middle of the day and I'm recording at home and it's probably not

really going to be edited but with me is writer Al-Uing.

Oh and we are I think two days out from Rose City Comic-Con.

I guess you're sort of general con arc is still going on because you've got a signing tonight.

Yeah, I've got a signing tonight and then I'm on the plane back tomorrow.

I do a little jump in Seattle and then it's a giant overnight flight that's going to screw up my perception of time again.

Yeah, you've been here for just long enough to get used to one GMT minus 8.

I'm on West Coast time.

Which is work because all of my editors are on New York Times.

So I've been ping-ponging between my usual afternoon evening time frame to a sort of early morning thing.

Yeah, no, I've had some of those getting up at 6 a.m. for a meeting and yeah.

Yeah, not fun.

But the coffee shops there are excellent and I've been working on them.

They are.

This is a good city for it, too. So you've got and you have you also my cat is really

happy that you're here. Yeah your cat seems to really like me for some reason as

a chair. You're tall and you tend to sit with your legs sort of straight out in front of you which is her ideal and to wear long pants and that's her ideal combination.

You're also really probably excessively tolerant of her so she's into that.

I like cats I used to have a cat when I was a lot younger.

I haven't had any pets in a while.

It's a bit difficult to I'm I'm renting and I usually you know usually there's a clause saying yeah like that so and I'm not really good at taking care of animals.
