Welcome back to New Rockstars. And with Avengers Doomsday coming even more into focus with the fourth teaser

releasing this week, we must revisit where this story really began with Kevin Faggy's beginnings as a young producer on X-Men. This is the Road to Doomsday Marvel rewatch series. Here in episode two of the Road to Doomsday, we revisit the X-Men trilogy, 2000s X-Men, 2000s, 2003's X-2 X-X-Men United, and 2006's X-Men The Last Stand. While there would be many more X-Men

movies to follow, these first three X-Men films were planned as a trilogy. And despite

being incredibly challenging for the cast and crew to work on, under two very problematic

directors, these films remained so beloved by Marvel fans that Kevin Feige's MCU felt compelled

to bring these characters back with their original

castings in Avengers Doomsday.

The third Doomsday teaser showed us James Marsden, Cyclops, Patrick Stewart's Professor X,

and Ian McHellon's Magneto, all in a ruined version of the X mansion, playing chess

and fighting Sentinels.

And in just those few shots in Avengers Doomsday, we see the vision that Kevin Feige and

Chris Claremont and other producers really wanted for these characters 26 years ago. Also confirmed a return in Doomsday are Kelsey Grammer's Beast, Rebecca Romaine's Mystique, and Alan Cummings Nightcrawler. And as we'll discuss in this episode, maybe others like Hallie Berry's Storm and Fomke Johnson's Gene Gray. The same universe 100005 that those movies take place in is now the universe that the MCU is revisiting and connecting with incursions and Dooms Day.
