When Elon Musk bought Twitter, I have to say, I was a little bit skeptical to understand where

his vision might take my beloved social media platform.

And there were a number of changes that he made that were kind of alarming to me and not aligned with the direction that I had hoped Twitter would go in.

So I took a bit of a hiatus from Twitter and like probably a lot of you tried out a bunch of other social

media platforms and still haven't found the right replacement. But I have been fascinated at how

these different social media platforms have started to evolve and change. And I'm not really sure

what the future holds. So I was excited when I

discovered Kurt Wagner's book, The Battle for the Bird, because at least I thought, well,

that'll give me some history and a sense of how Twitter rose to such popularity and why I

personally liked it so much as my social media platform of choice.

And boy, was I wrong about so many things regarding Twitter.

From like the first chapter, I realized that I really knew nothing.
