The very last day for the late great Don Imus in the morning, which... where it all started for me, basically.

I did sports talk radio down in Florida, I don't know, for a couple of years,

and then I got my first opportunity in New York in 2000, host a morning show.

The time the station was doing very, very well, had people like Opie and Anthony and the radio chick,

and Ron and Fez, and Ron and Fais and Don and

Mike and had a couple of partners, Scott Kaplan, Craig Carton.

But it failed.

And after one year, I was heading back to Florida.

And I got a phone call from Steve Cohen, not the owner of the Mets.

Our Steve Cohen, who spent a lot of years at Sirius X-7. I don't know where he is now, married to the lovely Eileen Markezy Cohen. And he said, you know, the guys at the band actually like you. So I went and I met with Lee Davis and Mark Chernoff. Turns out Connie Fitzgerald was a big fan too. And they hired me. Chernov said to me, I said, Mark, I got to make more money. He said, well,

here's a deal. They're about to start a new network. It's going to be called the Yes Network,

George Steinbrenner. I think it starts in November. This is about four months prior to that.

So when the network starts, Susan Waldman's going to leave, and I'm going to team you up with Jody McDonald to do the midday show. That's how you're going to make more money. But for starters, you're going to do sports on I miss. I said, what? I'm going to do what? I said, yeah. In fact, you're going to come down next week to Rockefeller Center. I miss his, I guess, all all those are three days, the fundraiser. Would you call that again? Radiothon. Those radiosthons were great. Raised money for great causes. SIDS, Joel Hollander, Wright, David Jurist, and of course, Yian Miss Ranch. So I meant I miss he was disinterested. But Mike Breen said, don't worry.
