This week on the Hub, I get to dive into a backstory that a lot of people don't talk about.

When we think of Mary Blair, we often associate her with

It's a Small World, Saludous Amigos, or even Disney's contemporary resort. But back in the

60s, Walt Disney himself commissioned Blair for a project in Tomorrowland, a project which would

hold up for nearly 30 years. I also have my friend Jocelyn Martins from The Magic for Less Travel.

We're going to talk about the reasons we love the Yacht and Beach Club

as we get back to WDW excited here.

But before we do that, in the mid-60s,

Disneyland was at the dawn of a new era,

and Tomorrowland was on the move.

Music and Tomorrowland was on the move. There are simply not enough words to describe the imaginative imagery and watercolor whimsy of legendary artist and Disney legend Mary Blair.

And while her work is still celebrated in classic Disney films and throughout Fantasyland, Epcot, and even Disney's contemporary resort,

new guests of Disney theme parks were never able to explore her lesser-known murals that at one time symbolized a cooperative and peaceful vision of the future in Disneyland's Tomorrowland.

This was the tomorrow that Walt Disney himself envisioned before he left Earth.

And before he passed, Disney personally selected Blair to design and create multiple murals

that would edge the entrance corridor of Disneyland's newly updated Tomorrowland in 1967.
