Tony's Town Square, City Hall, the Firehouse, and a number of other buildings on Main Street,

Now, that idea has since been shelved,

but the building itself connects to a history in my neck of the woods.

Music Back in 2017, Disney announced plans for a historic change coming to Main Street and the Town Square at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

For casual fans of Disney theme parks and even Disney Insiders, the Main Street

theater announcement was a complete surprise.

unlike the Tron coaster, the Skyliner, the Star Wars Resort Hotel, and countless other upgrades

to the Walt Disney World property, the Main Street theater idea was shelved. We don't know if

this theater will ever see the light of day, but what we do know about the theater is that it

has indirect ties to Walt Disney, Disney Studio history, and surprisingly our own history here in

the Kansas City area on Wedway Radio. The fire that destroyed the Coates Opera House in 1900 left Kansas City with no first-class
